I am a shoe-a-holic, a sneaker freak, a sneaker head…whatever you wanna call it. I’m crazy about shoes. I have always been like this for as long as I can remember, my first pair of Jordan’s were the Jordan 5′s that I got when I was in the third grade or something. I just scored some pretty nice shoes from Nordstrom’s half-yearly sale today!

How awesome is this? I was part of the initial Kickstarter project when they first pitched the idea of the TikTok and LunaTik. They just released the Lynk which is pictured here and I just love this thing. Metal contruction, black metal band and a black faced nano. It’s just super clean. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with next.
UPDATE: I lost this! I’m so sad =(
UPDATE #2: I went to Nordstroms to see if they had it in their lost and found, they didn’t have it. I went home and found that the shoes they sold me had mismatching sizes. So I had to drive back. When I got in my car, it was right there!
Well, not really. For those of who that know me know that I am really into shoes, especially Nike shoes. Got a pair of Nikes in the mail today and I was surprised to see that the box was not that normal orange and cardboard colored box. It wasn’t even the recycled cardboard look. It was green! I love this box, it’s a nice departure from the normal boxes I see when I open up my closet full of shoes boxes.
Just recently someone thought I was gay because of my “metroness”. It really hurt because not all guys fit that typical guy mold. I am not what you call a “typical guy”. You know, there a some guys out there who like to take care of themselves and want to look nice, what’s wrong with that? Mind you, I have absolutely no problems with gay people. I have a few friends that are gay and they are very cool people.
I like fashion and I like to dress up and look nice. I wear Calvin Klein underwear only because I found them to be the most comfortable for me and my package. I have acne scars and an oily face so I occasionally use a clay mask for it. Lately I’ve been looking at men’s hairstyles because I want a new hair style. I use a flat iron on my hair and I use like 3-4 hair products before I leave the house in the morning. I appreciate women who are up to date with fashion and one who is willing to experiment with different styles. Throw me into Forever 21 and I can put together a pretty decent looking outfit for you ladies out there.
I am a graphic artist and I’m 28 years old, so I see things differently then some would. My views of life and the world are different than those of the younger generations. I want a nice looking house. One with an awesome kitchen, nice tiles, furniture, bathrooms, etc. Someone questioned my sexual orientation because I wanted a dope looking house. So yeah you might read this and might think I’m gay. But there is one big difference between being gay and being metro, and that is one of them likes females and I just so happen to love females.
By the way, I am making this post via my iPhone. This will be the first post from this device. For anyone who has a WordPress blog and an iPhone, download the wordpress app now!
Today Rock and Republic had a sample sale. I am not usually one to buy “designer” jeans simply because they cost too damn much. Recently I bit the bullet and bought too pair of R&R jeans and I must admit, I love them. The fit on them is awesome, nothing like my $60 dollar Levi jeans. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Levi’s! I didn’t even plan to go to the sale today. It was a spur of the moment type of thing. The sale was at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City, Ca.
When I arrived I saw the huge line of people waiting to get inside, I almost turned around to head home. But I didn’t, I decided to stay and wait it out. I was in line for about an hour before I got inside. I figured since I was late, that all the size 30 jeans would be gone, but I was so wrong. There were so many jeans left. The jeans normally retail anywhere between 200-300 dollars but at this sample sale they were going for 80-100 dollars. Next thing you know, I’m carrying about 10 jeans and my triceps and forearms were getting a serious workout from the weight of them all. After I found then jeans I want, it was time to eliminate because I was not about so spend $800. I ended up with 5 pairs, 3 for me and 2 for my younger brother.
All in all, it was quite an experience as I have never been to a sample sale before. It was fun scouring the mounds of jeans to find something good. I probably won’t be buying R&R jeans at retail anymore. I will just wait till the next sample sale comes around.
